Ideas to avoid cancer caused by smoking

If you smoke, you can greatly reduce the risk of contracting
cancer by drinking carrot juice. This according to the German Doctor
Hans Nieper, founder of Eumatabolic Medicine, a new alternative
mode of treatment which has become very popular in Germany. The
carotene found especially in carrots prevents and can even cure
cancer.
Dr. Nieper states, “If you smoke 60 cigarettes a day but drink 4
glasses of carrot juice, you will still be less prone to contract cancer
than someone who doesn’t smoke but who doesn’t drink carrot juice.”
Of course, if you don’t smoke and do drink carrot juice all the better!

Care for your heart while you sleep

In which position do you sleep?

If you sleep on your stomach or on your left side, you are putting
pressure on your heart with the extra body weight, while the heart has
to continue pumping blood as usual.

This additional burden wears the heart out more quickly. Think
about it - you spend more than one third of your life sleeping!

To reduce the strain on your heart, sleep on your right side, or on
your back. This simple technique will add years to your life.

Are you anxious?

Is worrying one of your characteristics? Well, stop! It is okay to
worry, but at the right time.

Psychologists at the University of Pennsylvania tell patients who
suffer from anxiety to regularly do a daily twenty minute “worry
session,” always at the same time and in the same place. Collect your
head full of worries during the day (don’t suppress them!) and then
pour them out during your daily worry session.

Exaggerate your worries to the point of absurdity - knit your
brows, make faces, let the sweat flow, shake and cower as much as
you like. In other words, make a caricature of the part of yourself that
is always worried, and in so doing exorcise it.

Eliminating worry will help prevent numerous psychosomatic
illnesses, which result from living in a state of permanent anxiety.

How to fight aging?

Did you know that just walking for 30 minutes, 3 or 4 times a week is enough to combat aging?

According to researchers at the University of California, one of
the principle causes of deterioration of the human organism’s physical
faculties is its diminished ability to metabolize glucose. And they
showed that even leisurely exercise, like taking a walk, plays an
important role in keeping glucose metabolism functioning smoothly.

Do you spend the whole day sitting at your desk or in front of a
computer screen? Why not get up occasionally and do a few minutes
of physical exercise? Don’t worry about what other people think.

In some Japanese companies, it is even become a collective
habit. Every twenty minutes a bell sounds, and everybody gets up to
do some stretching exercises, after which they sit down again as if
nothing had happened. Japanese managers are convinced that their
employees are more productive when they are relaxed.

Lose weight without losing your taste buds

Tasty ways to lose weight include homemade fruit yogurt, healthy cereal, drinking enough water, low fat milk, barbecued meat, rusk with tea as an office snack, and Whole Wheat Crackers with Peanut Butter.

1.Salad

A filling pre-meal salad can help you cut down on what you eat for your main course. To avoid that 'I'm just eating leaves' feeling (if you're a carbohydrates person, you'll know what I'm talking about), throw in olive oil, pulses, or even some hummus to add that filling-feeling to your food. Eat this slowly with water.

2.The Sweet Dish

No one said the sweet dish must be an exercises in swallowing sugar and unhealthy goop. Replace your 2 servings of gulag jamun with some homemade fruit yogurt (add fruits to yogurt, obviously). Or low-fat Gelato ice cream.

Or even some 'kawa' herbal tea in the winter - it'll fill you up, help you digest your food faster, and is tasty.

3.Cereal

Replace eating the hard-earned bread with cereal in the morning. However, avoid your standard sweetened pops (Choco-puffs, and other manner of crystallised fruit and sugar recipes). Get simple cereal, add milk and fruits, and no more than 2 spoons of sugar for tasting.

4.Water

Often what you perceive as hunger is simply thirst.Further, before instinctively reaching for that juice or wine, have a glass of water - your cravings for something liquid might be for water.

Have a glass of water before eating - it'll trick your stomach into feeling fuller.

5.Barbecue

Barbecue your Meat, fish and poultry instead of frying it - if you're eating out, this is even more important as food is often re-fried - insist on the barbecued meat.Secondly, barbecuing causes meat's fat to drip off, offering you a healthier, yet more flavorful meal.

6.Low Fat Milk

It's a stupid Indian myth that full cream milk is "real milk". Low fat milk is made by removing the fat content (less saturated fat, cholesterol and less calories), without affecting any of the nutritional content that milk offers you.

7.Rusk with Tea
That hour before lunch when you're thinking about lunch - get some tea with a rusk. Your cup of tea contains caffeine, a hunger- suppressant. The rusk or two act as a a low-calorie filling snack.

8.Whole Wheat Crackers with Peanut Butter
Peanut butter contains protein - which slows down the release of sugar into your bloodstream (unlike carbs, which quickly spike your energy levels before crashing them) - whole wheat crackers are a tasty filling and fiber-loaded snack to fill you up.

Some Useful Breakfast Tips

Struggling with your fitness goals?. Don’t press the panic button, though. What you probably need is a simpler and more patient approach to fitness, and it can begin right at home, early in the morning, with breakfast. Even if you don’t have the time or motivation to spring out of bed for a jog, there is really no reason why you cannot endorse healthy breakfast choices to start off your day.

Fruit Salad

Throw in your favorite fruits and try a bowlful without any dressing. You will be surprised at how good it tastes. In fact, fresh fruits will go well with nearly anything else you can think of for breakfast. What’s more, fruits are low in calories.

Breakfast Burrito

If you like Mexican, this could become one of your favorite healthy breakfast choices to start off your day. Get a whole wheat tortilla, and for your filling add in an ounce of low-fat cheese, and a scrambled mixture of ½ cup of egg substitute and ½ cup of cooked assorted vegetables. It takes a little bit of preparation, but it will be a tasty and healthy breakfast.

Fruit Smoothies

Smoothies are fashionable and you probably see them everywhere these days. The problem with most commercial smoothies is that they contain loads of sugar or other sweeteners and fruit juice. In other words, they are rich in calories without so many vital nutrients. You can make a much lighter and healthier smoothie at home. As a rule of thumb, a big glassful should contain whole fruit pulp rather than juice, blended with 1.2 cup of low-fat yoghurt and ½ cup of skimmed milk. You can enhance some smoothie recipes with a little bit of orange juice as well. This is definitely delicious and a super healthy breakfast choice to start off your day with.
With these easy-to-prepare, healthy breakfast recipes, you also have the option of mixing and matching without too much preparation time (except for the burrito, of course!).
On the whole, if you can get in a whole wheat product, a protein source (egg, dairy, soy, beans, lean meats) and some fresh fruits and veggies for breakfast, that is ideal. It is important to remember that if you go in for healthy breakfast choices to start off your day, you are putting yourself on the fast track to fitness! If you Love Cereal…

Oatmeal is an excellent choice. It is loaded with fiber and complex carbohydrates; this means you will feel full for longer and will have consistent energy through your day. To enhance the taste and health quotient, you could add bananas, berries, almonds or nuts, whichever of these is at hand.
If cold cereal is your thing, get one which has less or no added sugar and is rich in whole grains. If you can get a granola of this kind, and mix it with low-fat yoghurt and fresh fruits, you will have an excellent breakfast ready before you in minutes.
